The most astounding thing about XCOM: Enemy Unknown ($19.99, Universal) isn't its super-premium price point, but rather the fact that such a huge, polished, and enthralling AAA console and PC game works so wonderfully on iOS. A touch interface suits this turn-based strategy epic very well, and little has been lost in transition to the App Store. It's well, well worth the investment.
